BBG Loves: Sandqvist

Modern life is full of complexities. You can be connected to another space at the touch of a finger; one devoid of time of reference point. Somewhere between nature and the city streets, your individuality can become lost in one large stream of consciousness. The Scandinavian spirit has perhaps learnt to balance this contrast the best of all. It’s about embracing the bright lights of concrete towns, while remaining loyal to nature itself. They didn’t get there without the correct equipment, though.

That’s why we’re head over heels with Sandqvist’s SS18 collection. Crafted with a nod to Swedish simplicity, there’s no other companion that can take you from skyscraper to forest hike with such ease. Exploring this balance, BBG Issue 6 boy Erik Andersson plays amongst man-made structures in wild land. Photographer Sarah Lönn bottles the feeling of escape, through emerging shadows and vast landscapes.
