How many of us are guilty of looking without seeing?
The iris holds many more secrets than we could dream of - if one dares to acknowledge; hold the gaze of another, peer into the galaxy of creation. There is a story. There is life. Yet why do we find it so hard in this age of crushing contemporary living to reconcile the collision of reality and expectation? What parts of ourselves do we see in others? What parts do we suppress or turn away, submerge underwater in the hope that if we hold our breath long enough, those heavier parts will sink into oblivion? The reality of the matter is that the truth always finds the light - it always floats to the surface.
In this special feature shot exclusively on MPB equipment, professional photographer and mentor to our MPB competition winners, Elizabeth Weinberg shows us that all we need to do is open our eyes and accept ourselves wholly. We are already enough. The stories exist within us. We are the words, the pages, and the narrators. May we dare to live freely, act boldly, and hold close without judgement the different versions of ourselves that can exist in a single moment.
We are forward-moving. Constantly evolving, respiring and renewing creatures on a rotating planet in continuous motion. There will always be dialogue. There will always be conflict. Yet it is conflict that brings hope for reconciliation. Harmony is the birth right of push and pull. Out of chaos comes creation. Must we never forget it.
